Exodus 32:1-6
1And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

2And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.

3And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron.

4And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

5And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the LORD.

6And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.

Episode 401 – 10k Worlds Podcast

[00:00:00] Greetings friends and welcome to the 10,000 worlds podcast. My name is Luis Urrego and it’s an honor and a privilege to be here with you once again. Yes, I know it’s been a while, but we are back. So thankful to the Lord for his blessings and for the another opportunity to serve you and to be here with you once again, and we have plans for you know, more content to go.

[00:00:28] And we we got different ideas, different plans, and we would like to execute on those, but it’s first and foremost, I just want to thank you. Thank you for all of your support during the last two years or so that we’ve had the podcast and that we’ve had the 10,000 world to website. Channels different channels that we’re on Facebook, YouTube, you all have sent some wonderful comments in regards to the interviews that [00:01:00] we’ve done in the past.

[00:01:01] As well as the the series of the devotionals, the family altar devotionals that we got to place in audio format. And just so thankful for each and every one of your comments and all your support that yeah. Everyone has sent financially as well as spiritually through your prayers. And yes, I know it’s been awhile since we’ve been last put out the last episode.

[00:01:28] The last episode was actually on January. The first I believe it was, and it was the last Family altar devotional for the year. And so during that time we were at that time we were an unemployed seven week missions trip in central America. The Lord allowed us to be part of a, of a, a missions trip that we had planned already for a year.

[00:01:54] And so I was busy last year, doing all I could [00:02:00] to. The audio devotionals, the family altar audio devotionals, ready and done. And so that’s, that was the purpose. That I want, I w I had that project in mind to do for a long time. And so we got it done and we scheduled that all the episodes on, on, on, on the podcast channel, as well as on YouTube and got it all taken care of before we we left out for the, for our trip.

[00:02:29] And so. Thank the Lord for that. It was a project that I’ve had for the last few years to do. It was something that I’ve been wanting to do. I love the the. The family altar the family altar devotional that brother Tim Dodd had put out a long time ago. And if you don’t know, if you don’t have a copy of that book you can certainly go to Cloverdale Bible way.

[00:02:52] There are the Eddie fiscals church and obtain a copy from them. And I think they sell for maybe, maybe five to [00:03:00] 15 bucks somewhere around there. And I think there’s like three, two or three new versions out now, not versions, but parts with more devotionals. So the one that I did last year was just the first one that brother Tim Dodd had come.

[00:03:12] With quite a few years ago, and it’s just been a blessing to many believers out there including me. And so I th I thought one time, I I said, you know what it would be, it would be awesome. And the age that we’re living in now with the audio that You know, with the content that we have out there with video and audio everybody just seems to be digesting or seems to be, you know, taken in more content in audio format as well as in video, more than, than reading.

[00:03:40] So why not take advantage of that and convert? These these devotionals into audio and I just took it upon myself to do that, and we got the whole year done. It wasn’t easy, but we got it done. So thank God. Thank the Lord for that. We thank God also. And when I mentioned the, the The mission strip that we took [00:04:00] we left out believe it was November 30th of last year.

[00:04:04] And we got back back to the United States on January the 17th of this year. So it was almost a seven week trip. We first took we, we, we landed left Atlanta, Georgia landed in in in Honduras. And we were there for about a month ministered in different churches. Went at one of my my purposes was to be able to visit some of these brothers.

[00:04:32] Pastors and churches that hardly ever get visited or do not get visited at all. And I had talked to are the brothers that we work with their brother Eddie Gahcho, which if you remember, he was one of the pastors that I had interviewed back in 2020, I believe. And you can go back and YouTube and or back in our podcasts our cabs and you can listened to the interview if you speak Spanish because they [00:05:00] interview is in Spanish, but brother Eddie Gahcho, he was really instrumental and, and, you know, take, taken us to different places as well as brother Aleah, Costa.

[00:05:11] He is an evangelist there in Honduras and his interview is also up. If you, if you speak Spanish and you want to listen to it I interviewed him back in 2020. We we, I worked alongside with these brothers there in Honduras and we got to visit brother some believers up in the mountain area on the Eastern part of Honduras.

[00:05:33] And and up in the high, in the mountains mountain, it was, it’s a very mountainous region there on the Eastern part of the country and a. And so we were there. I was there, I left my family because all of us went my family and, and I, and, but I left them back home at brother Lee’s house. Because the Trek to this particular area where the [00:06:00] are these believers lived or live and where the church is, where the church is located up there.

[00:06:06] It’s about a five-hour wall. And it’s, it’s a, it’s a very, it’s, it’s harsh, harsh terrain. I’ll just put it that way. Very Rocky, very muddy. There’s no way that You could probably have the best. I’ll just put it like this. You can probably have the best hiking shoes that they make here in, on in the United States.

[00:06:28] And it would, you would have a hard time getting up there. You. What the brothers use mainly. And, and this is mainly because of the mud it rains in that area very much, and there’s so much mud and it’s like shin, deep mud some places even almost up to the knee. And what you need is a, is, is rubber boots that go up all the way to your knees.

[00:06:52] And that’s, that’s the best way to get to. Up there. And so we, we trekked up there. I did a, maybe [00:07:00] about an hour on horseback and and then four hours you know, walking with a, a group of believers. It included some sisters as well that they were used to tracking. You know, in that in the, in that terrain, in, in, in that way.

[00:07:16] So they decided they wanted to go with us too. And so we headed up there and let me tell you saints that we had a wonderful time in the Lord, those brothers and those sisters, they, they treated us like, like gold and and so we, we just had a, a lovely time there with, with those believers and We there was one instance there where a brother or a young man who came up from the city who had a family member that lived there.

[00:07:46] He had just recently it was probably in his early thirties and he had just recently lost his, his wife and. He was there. We had a house service at one of the locals house [00:08:00] houses there. And they, they opened up their home. They wanted us to have service there at their house. And as we were preaching and as I was preaching that that night the different believers came out and he was there.

[00:08:12] He came out and listened to the sermon and. He started noticing that, you know, we were speaking about a prophet and we were bringing up you know water baptism and the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ and other things that actually interested in me. He was a Bible reader. He, he, he had, he had read the scriptures.

[00:08:33] He was very in tune with. With the church history, as well as the book of revelations. And so after the service, we got to talk with him. I got to talk with him and we were able to give him the local pastor there. And on the local church, he had several church age books that in Spanish that were That they were given to him.

[00:08:56] And we were able to give this young man a and one of the [00:09:00] church age books and just encouraged him. And I believe that he, he was encouraged and hopefully he made a decision. You know, he wants, he wanted to straighten up his life and, and things like that. So, you know I just came out with, after that night and then I said, you know, Lord, you’re, you’re the one in control.

[00:09:19] You know, why we’re up here? You know, we’re thinking that we’re just serving the bride of Christ in that area, but you don’t know who, who else was going to come out for those, for those meetings. And, and he was just so beautiful. I mean, Five hours away from, from civilization up in the mountains. It is just the most beautiful thing.

[00:09:39] Beautiful views whether it is just perfect up there and you’re not thinking about anything and you’re not thinking what’s going on around the world, these brothers, they, they. They rare, barely get a signal on cell phone to be able to, to talk while they’re up there, they have to go down further down to the mountain in order to kind of pick up a signal, [00:10:00] maybe get some internet.

[00:10:01] There are some, some spots up there where you. Where, where you can get some internet, but but it’s very high. It’s very hard, but the weather was perfect, everything. And, and I mean, these people look like they were just the, the, the, the, the. The best of the best of health. I mean, they are hard workers, they’re sisters included.

[00:10:22] And and, and they’re just so serviceable I mean, they, they serviced us that, you know, they, they, they, they, there was nothing that they would not do for you. And you know, and how could you not give it. While you’re up there. So we just appreciate the Lord. The last night, while we were up in that area there in Honduras we got to we get, we, we did a a prayer ministered about.

[00:10:45] What was it that we ministered on on, on blind Bartimaeus S and in my, the S the spirit of the Lord just came down there and we had a prayer line. People were just receiving their healing and accepting accepting what God’s [00:11:00] promised for them by faith. And we just had a wonderful time and they were very appreciative that we were, that we took that trip.

[00:11:06] We were there with them for about a week or so. Got to preach up there via phone on, on the radio. Multiple times that I preached on the radio while I was there in Honduras brother. And his father who is a pastor, has a radio program and the area of Cooleemee Honduras. And and so somehow they tie in through WhatsApp to the radio station.

[00:11:30] And so we don’t even have to physically be at the radio station and we could be anywhere around Honda’s. And pretty much around Honduras and be able to preach on the radio and all the people within a certain mile radius. And it’s a pretty far pretty far where the radio station gets to all the people can get to hear the gospel, get to hear the message.

[00:11:51] And so we we did that multiple times and. And preached all over the radio several times preached one time over[00:12:00] on, on on a TV station and where they’re at least dad also has a, a TV program and where it’s one hour and he just preaches the word, talks about, talks about the word, the message of the hour, and people call in.

[00:12:14] And so we got the privilege to do that. One of the times I was going to do it twice, but then I got, I got sick the second time I was going to do it. And I told brother brother, might’ve got ITO acid brother, you go ahead. I just can’t do it. I was running a fever that day. And so it was right after we had come back down from the mountain and I know this is all jumbled up and everything, but.

[00:12:37] You know, from there, we went to Nicaragua, we were in Nicaragua for a couple of weeks. Visited some believers up in, in, in, in the middle of of of a lake there, a very a very huge lake there. There’s some islands with two volcanoes there. I believe it’s one of the seven wonders of the world and there’s a church there and we got to minister to them.

[00:12:58] They hardly ever get visited. [00:13:00] One of the. Believers, one of the brothers that we visited in Honduras, it was a pastor that has been pastoring since about 1974, if I’m not mistaken. And he told us that he had never been visited by anyone, anyone. Outside of Honduras and even the ones that have visited in Honduras.

[00:13:20] It was very few in between very few that had visited that have visited him. So he hardly ever got any visits, but he was so appreciative that we took our time and it was it was another five-hour walk just to get to them. In vehicle as well as as in, as walking and in that one, it was it was a lighter type of road.

[00:13:40] So my family and I, we I took my family to that trip and we just ministered to. Gave food bags of food, that it was an idea that my wife had to buy food. We bought I forgot how many pounds of food and, and made different bags and just gave out to those, to those [00:14:00] believers there in an also in other areas of Honduras food and.

[00:14:05] They were just so appreciative. And so we just thank God that he allowed us to do that. And the brother he was so appreciated. The pastor there in that area was just so thankful that we took our time to go visit them, to go minister to them. And we just had a wonderful time where wonderful service there.

[00:14:22] With the believers there in that area. And and then after Nicaragua we, we spent a couple of days went over to Costa Rica and we’re there with brother Eddie Chuck on, and got to spend time with his family minister, to the Saint stair in his church. And we were there for maybe for about four or five days.

[00:14:40] And. We came back. So it was a quick trip up. Well, it wasn’t a quick trip, but it was it just seemed like it was quick. I mean we, we, we had so many things that we were doing and. Partly, no, Dave knows days of rest. There was maybe a couple, but most of the [00:15:00] time we, we, we just got to it and worked.

[00:15:03] And I’m in the street above 41 different services, different times. And those are church services youth camp and also on the radio and TV. And so it was about 41 40. Times that we got to preach during this trip. So 41 times a preaching within seven weeks for a minister wears you out. And so when I got back from the trip I just wanted to take a break.

[00:15:31] And so I said, I’m just going to take a six month break and a. And then just gauze and Trey on, on, on, on, and just getting recuperating. And so here we are, we are back with you once again. And so it’s, it’s a privilege for me to be able to minister in this way and to use these avenues that we have.

[00:15:54] And thank you all so much for those who have. For us, they knew we were on this trip. You, if [00:16:00] you want to go back and, and, and, and view the content the pictures, videos, and different things of our trip central American trip, you can go back I believe on the 10,000 worlds Facebook page I believe there’s some content there, but most of them.

[00:16:14] Placed on a page called spoken word missions. I believe it is on Facebook and as well as my profile, if you just look up Louisa, Rigo, and then you’ll be able to find all the content there. And my last name is spelled U R R E G O. Now Ms. Most people ask me, well, how do you say. And I asked, then I tell them, I just say, well, can we, can you roll your RS?

[00:16:40] And then some of them say, well, yeah, I can. And then some of them say, no, I can’t. So if they can roll your arms, if you can roll your RS, then you can say because that is my, that’s how you say my name in Spanish. But if you can’t roll your RS, then you say you re go and people get a kick out of that.[00:17:00]

[00:17:00] But because it is interesting. Some people don’t know how to roll their RS and. Matt on, but it’s, I guess it’s just a genetic thing, but some people can, so anyways, pleasure to be here with you. And so for the next 20, 25 minutes, I just want to let you know that We in the, in the near future, we want to start again our testimony, interviews of different believers, different pastors, different ministers, missionaries.

[00:17:31] And and I know that when I was doing it back in 2020, I was trying to do like two interviews per week per month or every other week. And. You know, it, it, it, it, it’s, it’s hard work. It’s not, it’s not easy work, but eh, so this time around, I think once I start up again, maybe in a month or so I have to schedule someone first.

[00:17:55] We are going to just stick to just one interview per month, [00:18:00] but. The podcast. I want to release an episode once every week. And that is my goal to be able to release an episode once every week where we, I want to, I want us to look further out. I want us to look into the word, more, look into the. Of the hour that God sent us in this day.

[00:18:21] And I want to do more Bible studies with you and, and just glean in the word. One of the things that I have in mind to do is I want to be, I want to create, I have some plans to also create some videos that we want. Take a scriptures from the word and just dig deep in each and every one of those scriptures.

[00:18:44] And, and I’m talking about tie them in to, to, you know, just look at them, just look at the word, looking at the, at, at, at, at the Bible at those scriptures and just and you. With me on the, on those videos and now release these as podcasts [00:19:00] episodes as well, but they will be on as videos on our YouTube channel as well as on our Facebook channel on our Facebook page.

[00:19:07] And you’ll be I’ll I’ll I’ll circle words. We’ll underline words. We’ll take the meanings of words and, and just really dig deep at the text of, of the, of the scriptures, because I think sometimes we We overlook at, at the at the scripture, many times we just read in surface read and we don’t take the time to actually, what was the backdrop of, of, of, of the scripture?

[00:19:34] Why did Paul. The way he wrote it. What was going on during that time? When Paul wrote that, where was he at or what was going on during that time for the children of Israel? When Moses read wrote this or what, what happened? And just take a look and see, because many times, if it’s in the scripture, God had a purpose to have it in there and things are not in there just to be there.

[00:19:59] Some things [00:20:00] we may not understand. There’s certain things that I read in the word and I have, no, I don’t understand why that is there. Maybe the Lord would be real to us and help us to understand what, what that is. And you know, there is the message of the hour that God has given us. And it’s a message.

[00:20:19] The message of the hour is not brother Branham’s message. He didn’t, he didn’t come up with his own message and preach that message. For us to have that message, that message had to be tied to the word. And so we are word people. We are word people know. So we, we love the message. We read the message because it takes us back to the word, to the truth of the word.

[00:20:42] And we know that Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the life. And so therefore we want to look at the message we want to. At the scripture. Amen. And we went to look at the message through the lens of the word. Amen. Because the word and the [00:21:00] message are, are one and brother brands. He always said that his absolute was now his own messages.

[00:21:07] His absolute was not any other men or, or any other quotes or anything like that. His message, his absolute was the word of God. And that should be our absolute honor. There’s many people who think that brother berms message, the actual texts, the actual books, the tapes that’s the absolute, but I, I, I’m gonna have to disagree with that.

[00:21:27] My absolute. Is the word of God, because that was brother Branham’s absolute. And I, and, and I believe that was Paul’s absolute as well. He’s absolute was now his is is even a man’s opinions or he, even his own letters, which we know later on, it was going to be part of, of the word of God. And so we make them are absolute.

[00:21:51] And so, but but even then, You know, at that point he was saying, and just thinking about this because he was saying, you know, follow me [00:22:00] as I follow Christ and any word from that, any angel or anything, or anybody else says, if it does, if it’s. According to what Paul had said. Let that person be a cursed and that’s, that is something big to say.

[00:22:15] I mean, you, you have to really be sure of who you are, the experience that you had to be able to say something like what Paul said and just like that that if another angel preaching another gospel that we have preached to you, let him be a cursed. That is something. Powerful. And Paul, my he’s one of my favorite Bible characters.

[00:22:41] W I can’t wait to meet Paul. He’s so inspirational. He inspires me every time I read his letters. Every time I read the book of acts such an inspiration to me, and I know that he is to many, many people, so that’s something that I want to do. And so we were going to, we’re going to start re releasing those [00:23:00] soon.

[00:23:01] And then we’ll release other videos as well. Other helpful content. We have some things in store and I just want to be busy for the kingdom while we have this technology available to us. Why not use it to glorify God and to put a and to give the devil a black guy, he wants to use it for evil. He wants to use it to give you bad news, but then here is the good news.

[00:23:22] The good news is that Jesus raised from the dead. The bad news is that that, you know, people are dying and there’s sickness in the land. And you know, the president, this, that, or the other, you know what, I can’t change those things. Things are the way they are, but you know what? I can change what I do.

[00:23:42] And, and what I put in my mind and what I think. And so Paul told us clearly, yeah, I believe it was in, in, in Thessalonians or Philippians chapter four. And he told us that whatsoever things are, are, are good whatsoever. Things are lovely [00:24:00] whatsoever things there’s, there’s, there’s this there’s scripture there where he talks about all these things.

[00:24:06] Good things. I think on these things, because if you think on these things, those things, as what’s going to give you peace, and it’s one it’s going to give you calm and tranquility and, and because it deals with the word of God. So we’ll look at those things later on, but those are some of the things that we have in store for you saints and.

[00:24:28] And listeners out there, if this is your first time listening to us we welcome you in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ. We trust that something will be said that will help you grow in the knowledge and the faith of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. And so with that, I want us to just for the next few minutes I want to look at something here for just a moment in the book of Exodus, chapter 32.

[00:24:54] If you want to read along with me the book of Exodus chapter 32, and we’re going to [00:25:00] start at verse. Let’s see here. We’re gonna start at verse one. And I want us to ask this question. I want us to ask this question and the question is, what should we learn from the golden calf incident in Exodus chapter 32.

[00:25:19] Now I’m not going to get done with this probably on this episode, but. We’ll continue this because I don’t want to make this episode too long. I only want to go maybe 35 to 45 minutes at the most. And we’re already at 29 minutes now. And it doesn’t seem like it, but ask us, I want you to ask this question.

[00:25:44] What, what should we learn from the, from the golden calf incident in Exodus chapter 32. That’s a very good question to ask that is, that is a very good question to ask indeed. And so so we’re going to read here in Exodus, chapter 32, what [00:26:00] happened there? What happened with this golden calf? We all know the story, but what happened there with the golden calf?

[00:26:07] And if you want to read along with me on reading from the king James version, and it says here, and when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the. The people gathered themselves together on to Aaron and said unto him up, make us gods, which shall go before us for us, for this Moses known as how they’re, how they’re talking about him.

[00:26:31] Now, they’re not saying Moses, or they’re not saying brother Moses, or they’re not saying you know, the prophet of the Lord, you know, but this Moses, this man, this. This person. You see how that, that sounds kind of rude. So they already had a bad spirit on them, even before they asked Erin what they were going to ask him, which shall go before us for us, for this Moses [00:27:00] demand that brought us up out of the land of Egypt.

[00:27:03] We want not, what is become of him. Oh, there was a, we don’t know, he went up there in that mountain and we don’t know what, what, where he at, where he’s at, what’s going on. He just kind of left us here. We came out of Egypt where we had all the goods and, and, and, and, and we had nice cars. We had nice clothes.

[00:27:22] We had nice houses. And I mean, yeah, we were working like slaves, you know, from, from eight to five, nine to five trying to pay our, our, our. Our car, our car notes and our house notes and our sofa notes and our our, you know, everything our jewelry notes, you know, we’re, we’re just in debt to our, our, our necks and to our eyeballs.

[00:27:46] But you know, what happened to this Moses where. They just got through crossing. I believe it was, they just got through crossing the red sea and now they’re taking this type of attitude towards the man of God, [00:28:00] Moses. So they don’t know where Moses is in verse two and it says, and Aaron said unto them.

[00:28:06] Break off now, the Aaron was just a compromiser. You know, he should have known better after seeing the same miracles that everybody else had seen. An Aaron said unto them, break off the golden earrings. In other words, take off your earrings, the things, the, the, the. The styles that you just brought out of Egypt, take off the golden earrings.

[00:28:30] I remember Egypt as a top of the world, take off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons and of your daughters and bring them onto me now, why do you say, well, why did the sons, even though the males had had had earrings? Well, one of the things about earrings in the, in the old Testament, if you remember.

[00:28:49] I’m hearing is a type of slavery. And so what were the children of Israel? They were slaves. And so that is a reason why they even, their sons had earrings. And [00:29:00] so their wives had earrings, the daughters had earrings. And so Aaron says, okay, Hey, you are free people. So, yeah, you’re right. I don’t know where Moses is.

[00:29:11] Neither do you, so why don’t we do this? Let’s continue worshiping. And, but let, let let’s, let’s do it and maybe in a little bit more compromise and type of way. So go ahead and take off your earrings and verse three. And he says an all the people, all the people break off the golden earrings, which were in their ears.

[00:29:32] And brought them unto Aaron and he received an insole. They obeyed, they, they listen because they want it to, to continue worshiping. They want it to continue you know, advancing. Okay. We’re out here in this mid, in the middle of the desert. We just crossed a red sea salt wonderful miracle. That just happened before us God opening up the red sea and.

[00:29:56] And then the red sea falling back on the, on [00:30:00] the gypsy army and drowning them all. They got, they saw all of this in, in other, in another place in the Bible. They said that they were baptized through the waters. So it was a type of a baptism that they went through. And so, and so they obeyed in listen to Aaron and then air and they brought their, their ear, their a golden.

[00:30:22] Earrings which were in their ears and brought them onto Aaron and will verse four says, and he received them at their hand and watch and fashioned it with a graving tool. In other words, he took those earrings in, made something with those earrings after he had made it a molten calf. So he took from their slavery, the sign of their slavery, the symbol of their slavery, which was the earrings, the having them haven’t had their ear board into, in other words, put a hole in their ear and [00:31:00] then put that earring in there.

[00:31:01] And they were made a real gold, obviously, because they say here golden earrings. So they were made of, of real gold. So. These people had Mo had money had riches. They were well off. God really blessed him. And after he had made it a molten calf and they said, and, and, and so Aaron made a golden calf out of the earrings that they had now.

[00:31:28] He couldn’t have made something. No, he met a golden calf. Why a golden calf. We can look at that later on, but, and he said, and they said, these be thy gods O Israel. Now he said, it said, and they said, these bead, they got. Ah, lemme read verse four again, from the beginning he received them. Aaron received them at their hand in fashion that with a graving tool after he had made it a molten calf and they said these be thy gods O Israel, which brought [00:32:00] thee up out of the land of Egypt.

[00:32:03] What kind of blindness spiritual blindness? Because they, they, they weren’t physically blind, blind, spiritual blindness that. Say that it was this molten calf that brought them out of Egypt when it was the God of Israel after seeing all the miracles that they had seen you think about this that had just recently happened and so quickly had they forgotten the true and living God, why?

[00:32:37] Because they got. They got bored of waiting for Moses to come down with the word. They got bored with the things that they already had, and they started looking into other things to keep them busy and to keep, keep them entertained. And what a perfect type of what [00:33:00] the churches are doing out here, nominal churches.

[00:33:04] And I’m just going to say mammy, even some messes, churches that are not preaching the true word of God, the true message of the hour that God has given us, which is based out of the word of God. They are people have gotten. You know, people are leaving the word of God, leaving the message of the hour because they don’t understand the message.

[00:33:27] They, they were preached do’s and don’ts, they were preached mysteries. Things that tickle their ears and we need the mysteries. Don’t get me wrong with the wood. We need the revelation of the word to grow into a state, the stature of the perfect man and, and, and, and to grow further in Christ. We need to all the word, not just part of the word, but But people get bored.

[00:33:51] People get bored of the Christian life. People get bored of, of serving the Lord days. I’ve had people tell me, brother, I don’t even know what to pray [00:34:00] anymore. When I get down to pray. And I’m thinking, what in the world is that? How can a Christian say that? You know? And so this is what has happened.

[00:34:10] This is what’s happened to, to the people of the children of Israel. They got. They were not constant. They were not steadfast the way they were supposed to be. And so verse five says, and when Aaron saw it, he built an alter before and Aaron. Made proclamation and said, tomorrow is a feast to the Lord.

[00:34:34] So Aaron now is taken, see the people were the ones that said, these are the gods that brought us out of Egypt, but Aaron, instead of rebuking them for, for what they were saying and what they were believing at that moment for the blind, the spiritual blindness that they had at the moment he takes what they say.

[00:34:53] And he’s kind of like lot when lot was in In, in, in Sodom and Gomorrah, you see, he, [00:35:00] he wasn’t condemning the sin that was there in Sodom and Gomorrah, but he was just kind of going along with it, but still believing what he believed. And this is kind of what Aaron is showing here. He didn’t, he didn’t.

[00:35:12] In other words, he didn’t want to displease the people. He didn’t want to make them upset eating one to rock the boat, a storm. In other words. And so he says, and when Aaron saw it, when he saw that golden calf, he built an alter before it, he actually adds to it. He built an altar before it. And what is an altar?

[00:35:34] An altar is for you to go worship it’s for you to place a sacrifice. To the idle or to the year of the thing that’s being worshiped in this case, it’s the golden calf. And he built an altar before it. And Aaron made proclamation. In other words, he let everybody know and said, tomorrow is a feast to the Lord, to the Lord [00:36:00] when it’s this thing, this golden calf.

[00:36:03] That people are worshiping and he’s adding that it’s the Lord that the Lord is involved in this. So tomorrow we’re going to make a feast out of it in verse six. And it says, and they rose up early on tomorrow. The people, the children of Israel and offered burnt offerings and brought peace offerings. And the people sat down to eat, watch to eat and to drink.

[00:36:32] And rose up to play. That is what idol worship. That is what the wrong spirit, even mingled with the worshiping of the Lord will bring you to. It will not cause you to sanctify your life. It will not cause you to live a holy life. It will not cause you to be wholly dedicated and to the Lord and get [00:37:00] out of that spirit of boredom.

[00:37:02] Instead, it makes you want to seek more and get in the spirit of it’s a rebellious spirit in other words. So they got up there after they, they, they offered burnt offerings and brought peace offerings because they did their worship and it’s all mingled in with the Lord. Right worshiping this golden calf and mingled in with the Lord.

[00:37:22] We did our religion for the day. Now let us go sin for a little while. It’s what they’re saying is what they’re doing here. And the people sat down to eat. You know, what the people in the world do when they get together sinful parties and stuff, there’s always food. And to drink, there’s always drink alcohol in everything else.

[00:37:43] And rose up to play. Now, when the Bible says there a play, that is the Strong’s the strong the Strong’s word for that is the, is the Hebrew word SaaS. Suck. And it means a [00:38:00] privative route to laugh outright in Mirmont or scorned by implication to sport brown driver Briggs definition says to laugh, mock play to laugh to jest.

[00:38:13] Jest means to just clown around, to just laugh it off to sport play, make sport toy with make toys of. And instead of these people being in sincerity, instead of them being in Reverend a worship mode and helping one another impatiently waiting on what God was doing up with Moses up in the mountain. And they decided we’re going to just take matters into our own hands and we’re just going to do our thing.

[00:38:43] And so we decide, we don’t believe that Moses anymore. We decide we’re leaving this message. We decide where we’re going to do our own thing and put our own idea into it. And we’re going to serve the Lord or worship God, but also worship. [00:39:00] This thing and also worship our own lifestyle, our own ideas. And, and, and, and, and we’re just going to REL rebel in all of this.

[00:39:11] What an attitude, what an incredible thing. I read this. My eyes just you’re you know how in Looney tunes episodes, if you watched Looney tunes, bugs bunny and those things. And now sometimes when people, when the characters were shocked and their eyes just opened wide and in there kind of popped out of their eye sockets that when you read this, it’s what you want to do because these people saw the miracles of miracles.

[00:39:41] In now a few weeks later, maybe sometime later they get up to do this. They forgot where they came from. So I’m going to leave you with that saints. And until the next episode, we’re going to continue talking about this and kind of dissect this a little bit more and just see what kind of lessons we [00:40:00] get out of this because they left their first.

[00:40:03] And that is what is it? It’s a theme that we read around the word, even in the new Testament, even in revelation where we leave our first love, we left, we forgot where we came from, and we need to go back to where you came from and wherever you left Jesus, wherever you left God, that’s where you’re going to find him.

[00:40:24] So until next time saints, I Tre I trust that you’ll read this. And and so look, look it over. I love to when I put out this episode, I’d love to get your. Also and see what you, what you say w what you come up with, what, what you learn when you go through and read this yourself. And so God bless you, saints, and we’re going to leave you here.

[00:40:48] And so thank you for tuning in until the next time take care. And remember that your soul is worth 10,000 worlds so remember to feed it well, feed it, and it can [00:41:00] only feed from the Word of God. And that’s the only way that it’ll it’ll grow. If the holy spirit is in there, if God’s own spirit, is there, the holy spirit can only feed off God’s Word.

[00:41:11] And so, because your soul is worth 10,000 worlds, so take care. God bless you until next time.
